Beer Prices Can Cut into Your Student Loan Savings

bikini beer
I would have to say the number 1 expense in college is beer. It gets you through those hard times (like class) and makes the fun time (parties) even more fun. The problem is of course, the cost.

Beer is freaking costly, especially if you drink it everyday. Not only that but your tolerance is going to build up and soon you will need even more beer, which will cost even more money. It’s vicious cycle, that will never end until you are face down in a ditch passed out from drinking shoe polish and Listerine because it is the only thing that will get you drunk.

Have no worries I have a fantastic solution.

This magic solution does not involve throwing bricks through a liqueur store window, robbing the place, or shop lift. The solution I propose is to brew your own beer. I am not talking about buying all of the equipment needed to brew it yourself. All you need to do is find a ‘U-brew’ place and brew your beer there. This way you need not worry about equipment, plus brewing the beer yourself makes the price per bottle dirt cheap.

I am sure that there are other ways you could benefit from brewing your own beer as well.

  1. Hi!

Our solution to costly beer, especially when our allowance ran low, was find cheaper sources of alcohol. But beer wasn’t the biggest drain on our financial resources back in college, it was girls, most especially beer-drinking girls, like the one in the pix. :D

  2. Trust me …I know.

I am working on a solution to the beer swilling girl problem!

  3. Problem with this is that most people don’t drink a huge amount at home unless they’re having a party or something….

If you’re out at a club or a bar there’s not really much you can do about the prices..
